Keisuke Kodama is Counsellor for the Permanent Mission of Japan to the United Nations. He was appointed to this position in September 2020.

Mr. Kodama joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in 2004, for which he has served as Deputy Director in several divisions of MOFA over many years. In 2010, he was appointed Deputy Director of the Regional Policy Division in the Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau; in 2012 within the Japan-U.S. Security Treaty Division of the North American Affairs Bureau; in 2015 within the Northeast Asian Affairs Division of the Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau; and in 2018 as Deputy Director in the Treaties Division of International Legal Affairs Bureau.

Mr. Kodama graduated from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Law in 2004, and from New York University, Law School (L.L.M.) in 2017.
