Natural Areas Conservancy Collaboration
Both the city and the Natural Areas Conservancy operate to conserve the city’s 10,000 acres of forests, meadows, and wetlands.
Stewardship Program
Through this city program, participants assist the NYC Parks office in a variety of conservation tasks, including pruning street trees and monitoring local wildlife.
Greenbelt Native Plant Center (GNPC)
Under the direction of the NYC Parks Department, GNPC protects the NYC’s most valuable natural areas by supplying native plants and seeds.
Wetlands Management Framework
This framework provides a multi-decade roadmap for the protection of NYC’s wetlands and streams, including preservation and management.
Forest Learning Hub
This resource hub informs the general public about forests located in the city.
