Worldview Institute
The Worldview Institute is an in-person discussion series in which New York professionals in different fields can sit together and discuss global issues with experts in foreign policy and international affairs. The program consists of ten intimate sessions between participants and presenters. These exchange meetings intend to develop and enhance the scope of the work and activities of young business executives at U.S. based multi-national corporations, as well as professionals of all ages within the NGO, UN, media, law, government, diplomatic and academic communities.
Who is Worldview for?
The Worldview seminars are weekly executive training programs of the United Nations Association of New York, conveniently held in the evenings as an after-work engagement every Wednesday. Ideally, we are seeking the best and the brightest young professionals from a diversity of fields, between the ages of 25 and 40, although older and more seasoned professionals are certainly more than welcome. Applicants are required to have a bachelor's degree and a minimum three years professional experience or relevant graduate work. Our past participants have come from many fields, including marketing, medical, education, finance, energy, and various NGOs. Over 500 participants have graduated from the seminars since the inception of Worldview Institute in 2007.
What’s featured in the Worldview seminars?
Our Worldview discussions are led by distinguished lecturers, including UN ambassadors, diplomats, noted academics and leaders in global business. Discussion topics are designed to stimulate informal conversations with presenters from the international arena, and to illuminate and explore business, political, economic and social trends in different regions of the world. Where appropriate, they also address the role of the UN within these contexts.
