The United Nations Association of New York salutes our Summer Scholar 2020-21 fellowship winners: Talisa Anderson, Madeleine Dejean, Fadumo Guhad, Robert Iaboni, Maliha Mathew, Oscar Orozco, Ghazal Rezvani, and Marjorie Tolsdorf. We offer them our warm congratulations and wish them all the best during their time abroad! While the selection process for our Summer Scholar program was made this spring, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the students are now scheduled to depart for their respective countries during the summer of 2021.

Their achievements while working in country offices located in Botswana, Fiji, Johannesburg, Kenya, Namibia and Turkey will immeasurably add to a deeper appreciation of the work of both UNFPA and UNICEF. The mission of the Summer Scholars program is to enrich and foster direct knowledge and understanding of the United Nations and international organizations.

To learn about our selected recipients for the current fellowship program, you can read their statements here — and meet each of our 2020-21 Summer Scholars!
