UNA-NYC 2016 Summer Soirée
This year our ever popular Summer Soirée, hosted at The Hudson Terrace on July 15, attracted even more UNA-NYC members, and even more of their friends and guests, than ever before — this fun-filled evening of relaxed networking and camaraderie collected a cool head-count of 500-plus reservations, our strongest attendance yet.
There was meeting and mixing inside the discreetly decorated salon as well as cooling off on the breezy garden terrace at this very chic urban sanctuary which, tucked along the Hudson River, featured a magnificent urban vista. The evening's festivities began with two for one drinks and a complimentary hors d'oeuvres. DJ SUPRA performed the magical music mixology for the night, spinning cool sounds to sizzle the warm evening.
UNA-NYC's Executive Director Ann Nicol, Executive Vice President Robin van Puyenbroeck and Board Member Matt Brotmann all provided warm welcomes to everyone and, as always, there were several interns on hand to answer questions from many of the new members signing up and checking things out.
As the host chapter to the United Nations Association, UNA-NYC is dedicated to raising public awareness of the UN and its work, as well as to promote the general goals of the UN. As such, our July event is intended as a fun and sophisticated networking/social affair for all new and prospective members to meet some of those who have already been around the UNA-NYC tableau for a while.
