An electronic engineer by training, Sir Stewart Eldon KCMG OBE is a former senior diplomat with considerable experience at the United Nations and NATO, combined with bilateral work in Ireland and the UK.
His Ambassadorial appointments include UK Permanent Representative to NATO, British Ambassador to Ireland and Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, New York at the time of 9/11.
He was Deputy Crisis Manager in the UK Foreign Ministry during the 1990/91 Gulf War and during his diplomatic career undertook sabbaticals at both Harvard and Yale universities.
He is a member of The Ambassador Partnership LLP, a unique international consultancy of former Ambassadors that provides advice to a wide range of commercial and other organisations and delivers high calibre training in negotiation, communication and other skills.
